The partner of this Community Service (PKM) program is the Sambas Youth Tunas Farmer Group located in Sumber Harapan Village, Sambas District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The priority problem of this 11-member partner is handling pest attacks that are still carried out with traditional traps and spraying pesticides that are not environmentally friendly and harmful to health. Based on the results of discussions, agreements with partners and funding capacity as well as the duration of program implementation, the solution offered is the manufacture and installation of solar light trap technology. The activities carried out by the implementation team were the manufacture of solar light traps, followed by the installation of solar light traps in chili gardens. In solar light trap installation activities, the implementation team conducts training on maintenance and use of solar light traps. The results of this PKM program are expected to be able to reduce pest attacks on chili plants so as to increase crop yields.
