ANALISIS POTENSI MINAPOLITAN SEKTOR PERIKANAN DI KAWASAN KEPULAUAN KANGEAN KABUPATEN SUMENEP
Abstract
Kepulauan dan wilayah pesisir merupakan daerah yang memiliki produksi perikanan laut terbesar di Indonesia. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor perikanan merupakan salah satu kegiatan ekonomi terutama di pulau-pulau dan wilayah pesisir. Karena merupakan daerah kepulauan dan pesisir biasanya menjadi tempat penyimpanan ikan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan konsep minapolitan dengan berfungsinya pulau-pulau kecil seperti: pusat produksi atau pengolahan komoditas berbasis kelautan khususnya perikanan, serta pusat kegiatan pendukung perikanan dan hasil laut. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis potensi perikanan dan kelautan masing-masing pulau kecil di kawasan gugusan Pulau Kangean. Hasil analisis potensi komoditas perikanan dan kelautan, menunjukkan bahwa wilayah kepulauan di Kabupaten Sumenep memiliki komoditas unggulan ikan air tawar, udang Vaname, Udang Harimau, Ikan Kerapu, Ikan Lele. Sementara itu, daerah yang paling banyak memiliki komoditas perikanan dan kelautan unggulan adalah wilayah kabupaten Arjasa.
